Modern drinking water disinfection & the revolution in racing pigeons!

Why is hygiene so important in drinking water for humans and animals (racing pigeons)?

The digestive tract is by far the biggest gateway for all kinds of germs. Clean and uncontaminated drinking water is the basis for health and well-being in humans and animals. Life-threatening problems caused by contaminated drinking water, for example during natural disasters, occur all the time. Potentially fatal diseases, such as dysentery, cholera and other infections, are often caused by contaminated drinking water in these situations.
Actually, everyone is aware of the importance of hygienically safe drinking water. More attention should be paid to drinking water in pigeon racing.

What is RopAdeno®?

RopAdeno® is a new electrolysis-treated water with special properties. By using this special technology, in which the water is then treated with electric current, hyperchloric acid is formed in addition to other elements, one of the strongest disinfectants and at the same time one of the most compatible for living organisms.It is only because of this excellent compatibility that RopAdeno® is allowed to be added to drinking water.
However, RopAdeno® is many times more effective than hyperchloric acid alone and, with its almost neutral pH, it is also non-corrosive. Some of the added electrical energy remains in the molecules and substances, which discharge again in a normal environment. This high energetic charge can, for the first time and through the product RopAdeno®, be stored in a bottle for a long time and is also demonstrably measurable as redox potential.

The process of disinfecting water by electrolysis is not new. Until now, however, the charge neutralised itself after only a short time, sometimes after only a few hours, and thus there was no longer any effect against bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores. What is new is that with RopAdeno®, for the first time people have succeeded in producing a stable and effective product for the long term, thus offering the market a truly marketable product. This new process is based on several patents. 

Why is RopAdeno® effective?

When the positively charged RopAdeno®, as a cocktail of electrical charge and hyperchloric acid, comes into contact with microorganisms, it uses the negatively charged molecules in their cells to rebalance themselves. In addition, it attacks elements in the cell wall and makes them porous. By pulling (with magnetism) the negative cell contents through the attacked cell wall, these contents are destroyed and the bacteria are mechanically killed ‘in a flash’, you might say. The development of resistance is thus made impossible.

RopAdeno® works very quickly against all bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores. Moreover, RopAdeno® dissolves the biofilm on the drinking water in which pathogens can nestle. If you have ever had a pathogen in the water pipes, even clean drinking water can be immediately contaminated by the pathogens that have lodged in the biofilm of a water pipe.
Incidentally, this problem, that pathogens may have colonised water pipes, can occur anywhere. This can sometimes also be a serious problem in carrier vehicles for homing pigeons.

The law allows an addition of 3% (30 ml/1 litre) of RopAdeno® to drinking water and classifies it as completely safe for humans and animals. This dosage provides guaranteed protection against disease transmission via drinking water. Gut flora is maintained and animals remain healthy as they are protected from and free of unwanted germs.
A higher dose would also be possible in acute young animal disease in the short term. However, practice has already shown that at a daily dosage of just 10 to 15 ml in 1 litre of drinking water, breeders who were ravaged by juvenile animal disease annually were for the first time not affected by an outbreak. For the first time, many of these breeders were also able to completely forgo the use of antibiotics. In the 2010 racing year, RopAdeno® was used for the first time by many internationally renowned breeders with overwhelming success;

Why use RopAdeno® in water troughs or in transport vehicles for racing pigeons?

All pigeons themselves carry loft-specific pathogens in the form of germs, bacteria or viruses. When many pigeons come together, as with younger pigeons, after a short time you logically have many different pathogens directly in the drinking water, where the pathogens can multiply vigorously, after which they are directly absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract of all other pigeons.
This problem has long been known and is known as ‘crowding’.

RopAdeno® kills all these pathogens immediately and keeps the drinking water clean, without harming the pigeons. This means that the pathogens are no longer passed through the drinking water and cannot nest in the drinking troughs either.
